A RENAISSANCE OF PEACE

In the hands of war
and its captivating confinements,
peace looks grey and stagnating.
The stygian cold stare
thawed from its deep chasm of wounds
makes look
the metallic ballistics of war
a child's play!
The melody
that's ricocheting off Ukrainian walls,
have well mothered chromosomes
that staves off peace with flair!
Peace's malleability, starkly visible
when shady scarlet incisions
are embossed on its soft bulbous edifice
time and again.
Mutilated, enraged, it spurns overtures
to walk the trodden path of warring humanity.
Its resounding invisibility
exudes a quixotic refrain
heard far across
the now doomed cosmic arena.
Peace has cast aside humanity
and sought refuge in the bosom
of antique rivers, no more visible!
Hearken peace hearken!
Don't play truant!
'Cause you're the beacon
of human misery's fertile periphery
where the psora has begun germinating.
Unending are the twin roads
of war and peace.
But this perplexed mind
dreams of a renaissance.
A renaissance of peace!
