দিনটি একুশে ফেব্রুয়ারী
নত মস্তকে প্রাণের আবেগে
আজ তাদের স্মরি করি
বাঁচাতে সেদিন বাংলা ভাষার মান
অকাতরে যারা সঁপে দিয়েছিল প্রাণ
তাদের অমূল্য সেই দান
পেয়েছে আজ সারা বিশ্বে সম্মান
সগৌরবে অর্জন করেছে
বিশ্বভাষা দিবসের স্থান
আমরা যারা বাংলা ভাষা-ভাষি
বেড়েছে তাদের মান।
আজ বিশ্ব ভাষা দিবসের দিনে
আগে কিংবা তারপরে
ভাষা স্বাধীনতার জন্য
যারা আজও লড়াই করে
তাদের কথা ভেবে আমরা মাথা তুলে
বুক চিতিয়ে করতে পারি বড়াই।
বাংলা ভাষার প্রাণ ও মান বাঁচতে
দিয়ে ছিল যারা প্রাণ
সেই একুশে ফেব্রুয়ারী
আজকে তাদের নত মস্তকে
হৃদয়ে স্মরণ করি।
